Buying Guide For Best Laptop under 60000
Which laptop should I buy? If there were an easy answer, we would have given it to you in an instant.
How much would you like to spend on your laptop?
Fortunately, this part has been solved because we have a budget of Rs 60,000. Thus, we shall concentrate on the aspects you should consider when purchasing a laptop in this budget. How would you be using your laptop?
Screen Size
Does size matter? Yes, it matters when you invest in a laptop. You should understand that the size is a permanent fixture. You cannot change it as you can do with the RAM or ROM. Hence, you should look into different aspects when selecting the right screen size.
Touchscreen or 2-in-1 laptops
If you are looking for creativity, you can try out the 2-in-1 laptops and the touchscreen laptops. Generally, these laptops are expensive, but you can go for the 13-inches models. The Ideal Screen Size Should Be Between 14 And 15.6 Inches.Display
The display is a crucial aspect of a laptop. Whether you are playing games or working on the computer, you spend long hours looking at the screen. Hence, the display should be easy on your eyes. Besides, the comfort factor is a critical one.Touchscreen laptops
You can also opt for the touchscreen displays on laptops if you are into designing or creative work.
Screen Resolution
As far as screen resolution is concerned, nothing less than FHD should suffice. Your budget of Rs 60,000 allows you to go for the 1920x1080p resolution. Though 4K resolution looks attractive, it could overshoot your budget.Other technology
You should also look at aspects like IPS technology that allows you to view the screen from wide angles without distortion. Similarly, The Refresh Rate Is Crucial. Generally, The Refresh Rate Will Be 50Hz Or 60Hz. A gaming enthusiast or a video designer might appreciate a higher refresh rate of 120Hz or 144Hz. Generally, all FHD displays come with an anti-glare coating that makes it comfortable for you to view the screen during the day. This coating protects the eye from the harmful UV radiation.Keyboard
Along with the display, the keyboard is the most used component of your laptop. In a way, your screen size decides the keyboard size, as well.
Added features
Gaming enthusiasts need a high-quality keyboard with features like highlighted WASD and arrow keys for easy manoeuvrability. Nowadays, you get backlit keyboards that prove handy when using in dim lighting conditions. Some of the other factors to look for in the right keyboard are 100% anti-ghosting, key travel distance, and long-lasting keys that can withstand up to two million keystrokes.
Connectivity Ports
Connectivity ports are essential for transferring data to and from the laptop. The higher the number of connectivity ports, the better is the data transfer capability of the computer. Smaller laptops with screen size up to 14 inches do not have much space for the inclusion of more connectivity ports. If you opt for a 15.6-inches screen, your keyboard can accommodate up to five to six connectivity ports. The connectivity ports include HDMI ports, USB 2.0 ports, USB 3.0 ports, LAN cable port, audio jack, and SD card slots.
Thunderbolt 3
The 10th generation Intel Core CPUs available today enable laptops to go with the Thunderbolt 3 port. The Thunderbolt 3 port allows for a data transfer rate of 40 gigabits per second.
Other connectivity options
Besides the USB and HDMI connectivity ports, your laptop should support Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The 10th generation Intel Core CPUs offer Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5.0. Wi-Fi 6 is the fastest when it comes to internet connectivity today. Let us now discuss the technical specifications.Processor – CPU

Entry Level
When it comes to multitasking and multimedia tasks, the Intel Core processors rank as the best. The entry-level laptops generally work on the Intel Core i3 processors, whereas the mainstream laptops use the Intel Core i5 CPUs.Best Performance
The Core i7 processors are ideal for those who want to get the best out of their laptops. However, these CPUs emit more significant heat as compared to the Core i5 and Core i3 processors. The Core i9 CPUs can be found in the high-end laptops.10th generation Intel Core
The introduction of the 10th generation Intel Core CPUs has pushed the 8th generation processors out of the reckoning. Today, almost all laptops feature either a 9th or 10th generation Intel Core CPU.
AMD Ryzen
On the other hand, the AMD Ryzen 3rd and 4th generation processors are equally good. Though they might not offer Wi-Fi 6 or Thunderbolt 3 support, the AMD processors are more robust. Hence, gaming enthusiasts prefer to have an AMD Ryzen CPU under the hood.
- Costs wise, the AMD Ryzen processors are less expensive compared to their Intel counterparts.
- AMD Ryzen CPUs have more cores and support multithreading. On the other hand, all Intel Core CPUs do not support multithreading.
- AMD Ryzen CPUs have higher clock speed than the Intel CPUs. However, the latest 10th gen Intel Core processors display comparable, if not better, clock speeds.
- AMD Ryzen processors can support faster memory in the range of 2933MHz or 3200MHz DDR4 RAM. Thus, these CPUs can support up to 64GB comfortably. The 10th generation Ci7 or Ci9 processors have this capability. These chips can go up to 128GB, whereas the AMD Ryzen CPUs cannot.
- Gaming enthusiasts love AMD Ryzen processors because the integrated AMD Radeon Vega 8 graphics is better than the Intel Integrated UHD graphics. However, the Intel Iris Plus graphics performance is of the top-drawer stuff.
Memory
One of the initial questions you ask when purchasing a laptop or a smartphone is its RAM capacity. How much memory your laptop needs depends on how you propose to use it.- Regular users who use the laptop for activities like compiling MS Office documents and similar stuff do not need much memory. A 4GB RAM should suffice for such people.
- If you regularly watch multimedia or browse the internet vigorously, you could do better with the 8GB RAM, as it is ideal for multitasking.
- Though the 8GB RAM should be sufficient for almost all users, gaming addicts and video editors would love to have more. If you wish to buy a laptop under 60k, the maximum you can go for is 8GB with expandable memory up to 32GB.
- AMD Ryzen processors allow for RAM with comparatively higher speeds than the Intel counterparts.
- A laptop with a dual-channel RAM is preferable to single-channel RAM.
Storage
When you speak of RAM, the next aspect that comes to mind is the storage capacity. Until recently, hard drives were in favour. Generally, all laptops had hard disk storage up to 512GB or even 1TB.Hard Disk Drive
The hard drives are bulky and slow. They have many movable parts, and hence, are prone to damage. Besides, hard drives emit more heat and noise, thereby affecting the overall performance of the laptop. A laptop’s essential quality is its portability. A bulky HDD restricts the portability factor, while occupying more space, as well. The introduction of Solid-State Drives (SSD) has changed the equation with more laptops now coming equipped with SSD storage.
- SSDs are comfortably lighter than HDDs.
- There are no movable parts in an SSD. Hence, they are not prone to damage, as the HDDs are.
- In terms of speed, SSD is lightning fast compared to HDD. Besides, SSD storage can help to enhance the processor speed considerably.
NVMe Vs. SATA
To understand the importance and speeds of SSD, you should know the concept of NVMe, M.2, and SATA. Here is the difference in simple terms. SSDs are inherently fast, but the limiting factor is the SATA III connection that hard drives traditionally use. NVMe comes as a breath of fresh air because it allows the SSD to perform at its maximum speed instead of restricting it. NVMe stands for Non-Volatile Memory Express. It is an open standard that allows the SSDs to read and write at speeds that SSD is fully capable of. NVMe standard allows the SSD to operate directly through the PCIe interface instead of SATA. NVMe can come in both forms, M.2 and PCIe card. The modern motherboards come equipped with SATA III, whereas the earlier generation had SATA II. SATA II allows for a maximum speed of 600Mbps. SSD drives using SATA III connection can read/write at around 500Mbps, whereas a 7200rpm SATA HDD has a read/write speed of 100Mbps. NVMe drives allow read/write speeds up to 3500Mbps. Therefore, NVMe offers seven times speed over SATA SSDs and nearly 35 times faster than SATA HDDs. It should thus, give you an idea about SSD speeds. Your Budget Of 60k Allows You To Go For A Storage Capacity Of Up To 512GB SSD. You Can Also Try Out The Hybrid Storage Option Of 1TB HDD And 128/256GB SSD.Graphics Processor – GPU
The graphics card is a critical part of any computer as it is responsible for rendering an image to the monitor. The graphics card converts data into signals that your monitor can understand. Thus, without a graphics card, you would not be able to see any image on your computer monitor. The question that arises now is the type of graphics card you need in a laptop.Integrated Graphics Vs. Discrete Graphics
There are two types of graphics cards, the integrated graphics card, and the discrete graphics card. If you have an Intel Core CPU in your laptop, it will contain the Intel UHD graphics card. The AMD Radeon Vega graphics card is present in the laptops working on AMD Ryzen CPUs.
NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Cards
Generally, people opt for NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards. The ideal one should either be NVIDIA GeForce MX350 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650.
Dedicated graphics memory
It is advisable to have a discrete graphics memory in the form of GDDR5 or GDDR6 VRAM. Under such circumstances, the graphics card will not share the memory with the CPU memory. It improves the overall performance of your laptop. The 10th generation Intel Core CPUs support GDDR6 memory. GDDR6 is comfortably faster than its earlier version, GDDR5. It also supports virtual reality, thereby proving useful for gaming enthusiasts.Other factors
At times, you can find a mismatch in the graphics refresh rate and the monitor refresh rate. Using Adaptive G-Sync or NVIDIA G-Sync can help the graphics card refresh rate to synchronise with the higher refresh rate of the monitor and produce lag-free and stutter-free images. As Your Budget Is In The Rs 60K Range, You Should Go For NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Or MX350. Both Are Good For Gaming Activities.Cooling Capacity
An intense graphics-related activity, like gaming or video editing, can cause the laptop to become hot. As the heat increases, it can be inconvenient to continue using the appliance. Besides, the heat can damage the CPU and GPU. Therefore, all laptops coming equipped with discrete graphics cards should have an effective cooling system.
Battery
A laptop is known for its portability. Thus, you cannot expect to have a power source handy for use everywhere you go. The battery becomes a crucial part of the laptop. It allows you to work unhindered for extended hours.
Factors that affect battery life
- The brighter the screen resolution, the higher is the consumption.
- The battery lifespan is directly proportional to the number of applications running in the background.
- It also depends on whether you are actively connected to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth devices.
- Laptops running on Chrome OS offer better battery life than those using Windows OS.
- Excessive processing, extensive streaming of online content, and playing graphics-intensive games can affect battery life.
Tips to extend battery life
- Never recharge the battery up to 100%. You should switch off the charger as soon as the battery level goes beyond 95% to 97%.
- Do not drain out the battery completely. The laptops have a system to alert you when the battery level goes below 20%. Plug your computer for a recharge as soon as you receive this alert.
- If you are not going to use your laptop for some time, you should put it into the ‘Sleep or Hibernate‘ mode. Thus, you save power and can start working from the same position the moment you are ready to do so.
- Use original chargers supplied along with the laptop. If you need buying a new one, it is better to purchase the original charger though it might come at a higher cost.
- Read all Tips to increase laptop battery life.
Fast Charging Facility
Nowadays, laptops come equipped with “Rapid Chargers” or “Fast Chargers” that can recharge the computer quickly. Generally, these chargers can recharge the laptop battery to around 50% to 80% within an hour. You Should Look Out For A Battery Rating Between 44Wh To 50Wh To Get The Best Results. It Is Advisable To Look Out For The Rapid Charging Facility.Other Crucial aspects
Here are some crucial aspects that you should not ignore when looking out for a laptop.Security Aspects: Biometric Security, Device security, cybersecurity awareness
Today, you have ample access to the internet with almost every person using a smartphone, tablet, or a laptop. It is a tremendous feeling, but it comes with its drawbacks. The unfettered access to the internet makes your systems vulnerable to cyberattacks. There are chances of people misusing your laptop and compromising with your critical data. Hence, one should take appropriate measures to protect your laptop and the data inside it. Installing Firewalls And Antivirus Solutions Can Prevent Malicious Actors From Accessing Your Laptop And Compromising With Data. Biometric security can also prevent unauthorised users from accessing your laptop. Biometric security is safer than using passwords because no one can steal your biometrics. A fingerprint reader embedded on the keyboard will not allow any person other than you to access your laptop. Some of the latest laptops come with face recognition features that allow you to unlock your computer with a glance.

Latest Party Wear Saree Trends, You Got To Hack From These Bollywood Beauties!
Latest Party Wear Saree Trends, You Got To Hack From These Bollywood Beauties!
Sarees are integral to India. We grow up, subconsciously linking sarees to every special and auspicious occasion. However westernized/ global we may become in our choices – saree – will always remain close to our hearts. Festivals, interviews, functions, weddings, meetings, rituals, ceremonies or parties – every special event calls for a sari!
Even the ultra-glam Bollywood divas have a bias for eternally charming sarees. They are seen flaunting designer and party-wear sarees for fashion shows, haute Cannes outings, award ceremonies, film festivals, premiers, weddings, parties and more.
Although, western/ Indo-western gowns – and floor-sweeping Anarkalis and one-piece dresses – are increasingly becoming essential trappings of Indian women and celebrities’ sartorial assemblages, sarees will always find a place of pride in our kitty. Maybe because our comfort levels in sarees are unmatched!
Shouldn’t we be taking inspiration, then? Of course, yes! Let’s look at some of the latest trends in Bollywood party-wear sarees – that must not be missed in 2018, especially if courting the limelight at parties, dinners, dates and events is on our agenda –
1. Winner Whites
The white family of white, off-white, cream, silver and palest pastels have emerged winners all the way in the last few fashion seasons. As Indians, we may not consider white appropriate for festive and celebratory occasions, but that hasn’t deterred B-town queens from flaunting splendid white sarees. From Sonam Kapoor to Deepika Padukone to veteran Rekha – silvery whites have found great many admirers lately.
2. Graceful Greys
Seems like understated elegance and subtle glamour are the buzzwords now! Well, what we are witnessing is a cult mix of the Indian and global fashion sensibilities. Greys and other rarely used staid hues are not off-limits from Indian fashion scene; they are no longer the domain of the old and elderly. Young celebrities like Alia Bhatt were seen flaunting silvery greys and dull greys – albeit in chic fashion sarees.
3. Beige is the Best
Thanks to their closeness to the Indian favorite earthy tones and metallic golds/ coppers – beiges, fawns and pleasant browns have always been loved in the Indian ethnic fashion domain. However, the kind of revival of neutrals we are witnessing now is simply stupendous. And why not! These hues look great with the Indian skin tones. They, being neutral, make for great bases for embellishments, designs, prints and other colors.
4. Black is eternally beautiful
Another hot favorite, topping the celeb style charts, year after year, black is eternally mystical and magical. Not just sarees, but in every ensemble, the party-perfect, slimming black has been courted by Bollywood actors for the longest time. However, as per the design forecasts, black did see a bit of a slow-down in the last few seasons. Not anymore, though. During Filmfare Awards and many such important functions, saree lover Vidya Balan and Deepika Padukone have been spotted in a black saree in many variations and fabrics.
5. Fancy Florals
Floral designs are surely on the upswing. From sarees to borders, pallus, lehengas, blouses – and accessories – flowers are all over. Florals Sarees have a freshness that’s unmatched – and are vibrant, girly and youthful. Floral prints, floral Kalamkari designs, flowery embellishments and embroideries, spring seems to have touched all sorts of party-wear and wedding sarees.
6. Rich Indian Handlooms
Timeless, classy and evergreen – the lush Indian handloom sarees have made a major come back, thanks to avid handloom promoters, many brands and Indian silk handlooms lovers like Vidya Balan and Rekha. Earlier thought of only as grand wedding and bridal sarees, Kanjeevarams and Banarasis donned lighter looks – and were seen at parties, film premiers and award functions. Linen sarees, cotton silk sarees and other similar trends are also on a revival route – thanks to Bollywood.
7. The Pink Splendor
The color of love has always been a favorite of celebrities, thanks to the romantic themes of our movies. Pink is also a feminine and auspicious color. Almost all hues of pink go well with the Indian set ups and Indian complexion. So, unsurprisingly, we shall see a barrage of Indian beauties, donning this gorgeous hue in all its myriad shades and tints.
8. Vibrant Hot Hues
The vibrancy of flaming fiery colors is integral to the Indian fashion sensibilities. Considered auspicious and lucky, these colors invariably find their way in every Indian woman’s wardrobe. Even our lovely celebs are not immune to them – and while in the last season, we did witness a bias towards neutrals/ subtle shades, designers managed to incorporate the flashes of yellows and bright tangerines in all sarees – in some way or the other!
9. Bewitching Blues
Much like blacks, the blue palette has an eternal charm – that goes stupendously well for all ages, body types and occasions. From office formals to wedding dances – blues are perfect for all settings. And, glam-world women seem to know this pretty well – for we did see a lot many of them wearing blue sarees. While Sonam took the electric blue and midnight blue to Cannes in a futuristic saree in 2016 – Tamannah Bhatia raised the heat in a plain royal blue saree – we all can easily cop – at a famed film launch party.
10. Nets
Well, this is one saree trend that promises to always stay fresh in our wardrobes, considering it has been rocking the fashion scene for years now – and is still going strong. Net sarees take on embroideries and embellishments pretty nicely, and create a demure, feminine base for designers to work their magic on. Naturally, we, yet again, saw Bolly beauties flaunting their net party-wear sarees in hoards.
11. Half and Half
A relatively fresh saree style, this one is super fun. The saree body is different from the saree pallu in half and half sarees – and this creates an element of contrast and surprise. Designers get to incorporate and play with multiple elements in these sarees – so we have seen a definitive surge in this trend.
12. Velvet in Sarees
Lush, lavish and majestic – velvet fabric has a unique aura. Always associated with the rich and royal, this thicker fabric, however, has been used seldom in sarees. But, with a grand emergence of the half and half saree styles, velvet is now seen quite a lot in designer saree creations. Anushka Sharma was seen sporting a stunning maroon red Velvet saree on her pre-wedding engagement party – during her coveted designer wedding in Italy. Apart from pallus in velvet party-wear sarees, this regal, lustrous fabric was seen on borders, blouses and edgings of sarees, sported by many Bollywood beauties.

They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Cartier did not miss out on that adage. They got the memo and since their advent in 1847 in Paris, have been putting out delicate and elegant timepieces. The brand prides itself in manufacturing a variety of watches suited for different occasions. Some would suit a formal appearance or be a dainty trinket for a relaxed setting such as it’s 2020 Maillon de Cartier. This Swiss brand made a name for itself and stamped its authority in the horology scene. With an in-house foundry and each unit being individually hand-assembled by specialized technicians, it is no wonder that Rolex is synonymous with ostentation. If you are on the hunt for a ‘boss watch’, this would be right up that alley. It is best-known for its bold watch faces and intricate complications. While other manufacturers tend to lean toward the stereotypical kind of feminine watches, this brand gives the female customer the best of both worlds. Rolex bracelets range from platinum to the one-of-a-kind non-aging rose gold. Their design versatility provides for various functions such as the Rolex Submariner which is built to survive swimming and sporting adventures. It is a top tier brand commanding the lion’s share of the market with good reason.AUDEMARS PIGUET

The knowledgeable eye in the room will spot this on your wrist and nod. It is not a common brand name but it is quality and exclusivity wrapped in one. The firm’s own press describes itself as a mainstay in chronograph complications. They are not just watches, they are an experience. One of Audemars Piguet’s earliest offerings was the Royal Oak model which set it apart. This model has more recently been redesigned for the women’s line of watches. A partnership saw the family-owned Swiss brand team up with the inimitable jeweler Carolina Bucci. The result of which was a variety of new designs. They maintain the signature Audemars Piguet dial but now bear more glamour that lends itself to the modern woman’s tastes. On the other hand, if the Royal Oak is not your type of fancy, there are still many more options to explore.PIAGET

One of the first timepieces that Georges Edouard Piaget made at the onset of his innovation, was for his wife. So it’s safe to say, women were not an after-thought for this powerhouse. Piaget makes its own watch movements. The quality of their craftsmanship is worthy of every dime you invest in their purchase. Take, for instance, the exquisite White Gold Diamond Tree and Leaf Motif, it is decadence that will have you turning heads. On the other hand, the Altiplano Ultimate Concept released earlier this year is the rare air of timepieces. It boasts of an inconceivable 2 mm thickness and will be a conversation starter should you be privileged to have it rest upon your wrist.OMEGA

One of the quiet giants in the business of telling time is the sturdy Omega watch. In their range of products, Omega has managed to make it possible to own a great watch without forking out an arm and a leg for it. If you are shopping on a budget, pieces like the Omega De Ville Prestige or the famous Seamaster may be ideal. However, if you would like something that is a marvel to look at with all its complications and perfectly synced ticking movements, they cater to you too: the Constellation line of watches is a true representation of years of honed chronograph inventions and luxury.BREITLING

On the lookout for precision chronographs? Breitling is the home of those. Theirs are not just plain watches but can also serve as stopwatches. The firm seems to have found the perfect way to deliver both classy and sporty. It is difficult to fault the latest editions being churned out of their factory. They come bearing a variety of leather and metallic bracelets. Attention to detail is evident in diamonds and shades of color we have not seen too often before. If that does not whet your appetite for one, worry not. They go further to offer customizations. The retail price to own a Breitling piece ranges from approximately $2000 to $10000 and over. In comparison to similar quality brands, it offers a great compromise.CONCLUSION
It would be nearly impossible to have a certain cast-in-stone list of what brand is the best. Tastes and preferences take center stage in every analysis. Functionality as well comes into play as individual needs differ. For instance, a professional swimmer may require waterproof capabilities on a chronograph. Possibly, a more agreeable approach would be to consider if whatever brand presented gives :- Value for money
